A porch from the fall.

I was given a sketch of a vision, and asked to build something close within their budget.

They were very happy with the outcome.

To be stained and finished after the drying period.

2026 schedule is filling very quickly. Get locked in while you can.

Time for some free education to save you money in the long run!

See any slight water damage in your home? Maybe a soft spot in the floor by your door? Or some stained drywall by your window?

This is one of the most common fixes we do, every year.

Those clues you may have around your home are telling you something. At first glance, it may not seem to be urgent…until you dig in and find this.

Outdated doors or windows, improperly flashed doors and windows, improperly flashed decks, and basic maintenance such as caulking all can lead to this outcome.

This is just one of many examples. This customer removed their old flooring to install new LVP. They noticed slight water damage by their patio door.

They did the right thing and called us instead of laying their new floor over the discovery to be hidden. The rot was already extensive at this point (zoom in to the picture, what was once wood, became dirt).

Luckily though, the rot didn’t make its way to the floor joists, just the box and sill. In return, it saved them potentially thousands of dollars down the road.

That water stain isn’t going to disappear on its own. Get on it now, and reach out if you would like us to make it right.

Want to spoil your horses?

We had a request to build this hay feeder for the customers horses. She is now able to conveniently load an 8’ bale of hay through the gates with her tractor. With 2 feet of roof overhand all around, they now have protection from precipitation and the sun while they eat!
If you would like one of your own, feel free to reach out!

Recently we had a complete beam replacement project in a basement, the primary beam for the floor joists of this home. The existing beam was undersized and assembled incorrectly to begin with, creating a common scenario we frequently run into, wavy floors above.
We removed and replaced all 70 feet of it. 20 foot of steel replaced an existing concrete block wall to provide an open concept for a finished plan down the road, and the remainder being 3 ply lvl.
One additional steel column was necessary, so a section of the slab was cut out and removed to pour a new 36”x36”x14” thick footing.
The floor was jacked up and brought back to where it should have always remained; level.

Have wavy/sloping/uneven floors? Make things right prior to remodeling! This is a very common scenario, especially in older homes. We have the knowledgeable and experience to correct this for you!

Shout out to some long time friends, Lori and Jason!
I’ve been doing work for them well before I went into business even. They’ve had some great projects for us every year.
Always a pleasure to work for you guys! Until next time, thanks again!

A few random recents.
A return customer requested a custom 2 drawer file cabinet to match their desk. Finished pictures for that coming soon.
Knocked out a kitchen floor, wrapping up an interior door and trim project currently for a long time customer, and some trim work and stair railing for the end of the week.
We have a 70’ span of support beam to replace next week in a basement. 20’ steel beam, and the remainder being LVL. Hope the guys are feeling strong!
The slow season wasn’t so slow this time, and the busy has greeted us early. Get on the schedule while you can!

Usually I like to wait for pictures and posts until the project is completed. And this one is very close to completion.

But It has come to my attention that some people think I should post more updates throughout the process of a project. So it begins.

The old screened in porch for this historic cabin at WCYC was borderline made of sticks and pallets. You guys will be shocked upon your return this summer to see our design and build replacement.

Prior to this, the cabin was also jacked up and leveled last year, and it now rests on new posts/beams/diamond piers. Being the original residence of Fall Hall Glen, it is history worth preserving.

Check in later for more progress pictures as we continue bringing the drawing to life!

Here’s a deck we built this past fall in Elkhorn WI.
The hog wire railing was a sweet touch! It’s a fairly common practice to orientate the wire panels to slope with the steps. However, if you keep the panels orientated level as the rest of the railing is, it makes for a much better look.
We returned on the last day for completion and were surprised to see the family handprints in the slab. The cherry on top for this project.
We are booking into the spring, and winter is just about filled up. We are looking to fill the 2025 schedule with decks!
If you are someone you know are looking to have a guaranteed high quality deck built, we would love to build it for you.
Shares are greatly appreciated!
