What are these little domes doing on the floor? 🤔
They’re calcium chloride tests, and they show us how much moisture is coming through the concrete. A low reading means we’re usually ready to coat, while a high reading may mean we need a moisture barrier first.

We installed this floor four or five years ago, and the customer had no issues until about a month ago. When they reached out, we came back, inspected the floor, and found that there were areas where the coating had failed.
Instead of making excuses or trying to avoid responsibility, we made the decision to replace the entire floor at no cost to the customer.
