I just want to post some information about donation locations in NC where we have sucsesfully dropped off supplies and clothing. I had the pleasure of taking a couple of loads of supplies to Waynesville NC so far with our church group and here are a few locations for those of you asking and curious of where to go to drop off supplies.

1: Woodland Baptist Church in Waynesville NC is taking non-perishable foods, all diaper sizes for children, wipes, all toiletries, hygeine products, water and so on related.

2: Crabtree United Methodist Church and Long’s Chapel in Waynesville NC are the 2 locations that are for sure taking clothing, blankets, fuels, and whatever else as of now. I’m sure there will be more or there are more.

If you are in Blairsville GA and wanting to drop off supplies to a location locally, House of Prayer, Coosa Methodist Church, and First Baptist church are a few of the local drop-off locations I know of. They do have operating hours for donations so check with them to see what they are. I’m sure there are more but these are the ones I know for sure.

God bless all of you who have donated, helped out, willing to help and for all of us coming together as a community in this time of chaos and distruction! Pray for survivors, the lost, the first responders and volunteers, the military efforts, and any support going that way!

The pictures I posted are off of the doors at Woodland Baptist church and their “needs” as of now.

Here is a project I am about to be finished with for grading out for a home, garage and for the road to them. We also cleared a bunch of old fence lines that were overtaken by weeds and such. I will try to find some before pictures so you all can see the transformation and the amount of time and equipment it took to make this project happen and be finished within a week.

I am trying something new… I planted my pumpkins later this year to see if they will be better off without all the heat. Most of the varieties I planted are 75-100 days from germination to produce so it will be close! I also mounded them this year to see if they grow better vs just putting them in rows!

To everyone that sees this post and knows me, if these pumpkins, squash, or gourds produce at all, I donate 90% of them to families, churches or whatever else. The others get used for reseeding next year or for my family members!

I did plant a large variety of edible squash and pumpkins this year so let’s hope they all do great and we can make some awesome pumpkin pies or whatever!

I’ve been in Jonesville NC for 2 weeks working on these 2 cabins for a friend. It only took 4 days from start to finish (to include the 2x10 flooring system, posts and concrete). Cool mini cabins and great for he/she sheds or micro air BNB cabins.

This was a driveway that we worked on here in town. It’s really hard to see how bad this was before. We had to remove 4-6” of the base just to get down to stable ground and start over. It turned out great and clients are happy with what we accomplished.

Here is a grading job we just completed. That bank was really close to the garage before we got there and now, my client has room for gardens or an inground pool!

So here is a job we took on in Rome GA. The client has a massive horse farm and needed acces to get to each paddocks without fighting the mud. They also wanted us to continue the gravel into the paddocks (4) so they didn’t have to deal with mud and the horses while mounting them or haltering them. We installed 1 layer of #3 stone (large rock), compacted it with a 20 ton roller, 1 layer of GAB (base stone… I.e crush and run), compacted that, and then finished it off with #89 stones so it wouldn’t hurt the horses hoofs/frogs and then compacted that too.

I do not have before pictures but most of what you see in these pictures is new pathways and roads to get to the barn and entrances to the paddocks! It was all mud or grass prior!

Here is a grading/gravel job we just completed for a horse farm. We graded, graveled, rolled, graveled, rolled and graved again.

The roads you see in the pictures are new roads and pads to get into the paddocks without being submerged in mud. We did 3 layers on most of this (1. #3 railroad stone, set and rolled, 2. GAB/ base on top of that, set and rolled 2 times), and then finished off with #89 stone which is small (set and rolled). We had a huge vibratory roller to help compact all the new roads. I think it turned out great and the client is happy with the end result!

FYI, most of this was grass or 1’ thick mud prior to us doing what we do!
