NEILL’S PEST CONTROL is looking to hire a technician. Prefer someone with a technician license or experience but will train the right person. You must have a clean driving record, no criminal history, pass a background check, be drug free. Must be neat in appearance, and most of all have a great attitude, and good with customers. Service area is Blanco, and surrounding areas. No experience, no problem, we will provide training. Starting pay is $18.00 an hour and will be increased as you complete the training hours. Work week is Monday through Friday, paid days off for Holidays ( 4th of July, Labor Day, Memorial Day, New Years Day, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Years Eve, New Years Day, and paid vacation after one year.) Pictured is two glue boards. One with no ants the other filled with Tawny Crazy ants. They are fast becoming a real problem in our area. The customer had five of these boards out, and they were completely full with thousands more dead on the floor, and thousands more around the outside. They are called crazy ants because of their erratic behavior never running in a straight line like other ants.

German roaches rushing out when door was opened. After the company cleaned it out we did get them under control.

This is a repossessed cabin. There was a couple still living and sleeping in a small loft. It was the worst infestation of Gernan roaches we have seen. The following video is what came out when we opened the door.

Customers found termites behind a picture on their wall, so they called us out to inspect. Could not find where they were coming in, so the carpet was pulled back, and exposed a crack in the slab where they found an entrance. Neill's Pest Control 830-833-5550 or 830-385-2883

CHIGGERS! Chiggers are a mite. They do not suck your blood. In their parasitic larva stage, they eat the skin tissue of the host. They do not burrow into your skin at all. They pierce the skin and inject an enzyme that breaks down the skin. They then use a specialized body part to suck up the degraded skin. The itchy red bump is not the chigger under the skin. It is a bit of flesh reacting to an irritating substance which is the chiggers saliva and gives the impression the chigger is burrowed in. Do you know the difference? That time of year is here again, termite and carpenter ant swarm season. Termite and Carpenter ant swarmer's look a lot alike, so be sure and get the right identification as there is a big price difference in treatments. The top picture is a termite swarmer and all wings are same length, straight antennae, and uniform body. The bottom is a carpenter ant swarmer. Front wings are longer than hind wings, antennae is kinked and has three body segments. They are both much smaller than the picture and most of the time takes a magnifying glass to identify. If you have swarmer's in or around your house, give us a call. Get the right identification, don't be fooled. There is no charge to inspect or identify.
