The Reinhard family reached out to us last year about residing their mobile home up on Catawba Island. We weren’t able to get to the project before winter, but honestly it ended up working out for the better.
Originally, the plan was to tear off the old sunroom, but after discussing a few ideas, plans changed and we ended up rebuilding the entire sunroom and extending it out with a new covered porch area facing the water.
With the new Mastic Harbor Blue siding paired with Harbor Grey Mastic shakes, this place really started to get that perfect lake house feel.
We also decided not to just reinstall the same old plain white trailer skirting. Instead, we framed in the skirting area so it could be insulated properly and finished it off with Novik dry stack vinyl stone for a much cleaner and more finished look.
To tie everything together, we added 7” Mastic board and batten on the new sunroom, along with new 3 1/2” white aluminum window wraps with built-in J-channel for a clean, maintenance-free finish around the windows.
We also had 2/3 of the Ohio Boyz on this one, as Jesse and his crew over at Barger Brothers Construction LLC helped us knock this project out.
Definitely a pretty big before-and-after transformation on this one!
