No two of these kitchens look alike, and that's the point. Some clients want warm and traditional, some want dark and modern, some want everything hidden behind flat panel doors.

The layout, the storage, and the material choices all shift depending on how the family actually cooks and gathers. Here's a look at a few we've built.

Sheer curtains across the full wall do more than soften the light.

They make the window read as the entire wall, which pulls the eye wide and makes a small sitting room feel considerably larger than its footprint.

The low profile sofa and the arc lamp keep the sightlines open, and the sage chair adds just enough color to keep the neutrals from going flat.

Guest rooms sit empty most of the year, so this one was planned to earn its keep the rest of the time.

The desk faces the window and works as a real office, the sleeper sofa handles visitors, and the dresser gives guests somewhere to actually unpack.

Picture lights over the botanical prints add the kind of finish you'd expect in a main room, not a spare one.

A media wall doesn't have to be a solid built-in.

The open steel frame here holds the TV and the shelving without blocking the light or closing off the room behind it, and the mirrored back panel gives the whole thing depth.

The wood console at the base keeps it grounded so the structure reads as furniture, not scaffolding.

Storage is what makes a small bathroom work, and this one goes all the way to the ceiling to get it.

The tall linen cabinet holds everything that usually ends up on the counter, and the open shelves keep towels and daily products within reach without adding bulk.

Light oak against white marble keeps it feeling open, even in a tight footprint.

This corner does two jobs at once. It's a wet bar with a w**e fridge and full prep counter, and it's also where people actually sit down to eat. The round table keeps traffic moving in a way a rectangle wouldn't, and pulling the upper cabinets in favor of open shelving keeps the whole wall from closing in on the room.

Since it opens right onto the living area, the dark wood and marble had to feel intentional from both sides. Nothing here reads as leftover space.

The home office stopped being temporary a long time ago, and the design is finally catching up.

The biggest shift for 2026 is permanence. Built-in millwork instead of a desk pushed against a wall. Richer materials, like the walnut shelving here, chosen because this room gets used every single day. And layouts planned for two people working at once, because that's the reality in a lot of households now.

The common thread: people are designing offices for how they actually work, not for how offices used to look.

Floor-to-ceiling cabinetry is the most storage you can get out of one wall, but a solid run of doors can start to feel heavy. The recessed coffee station keeps that from happening here.

Open wood shelves and a tile backsplash break up the cabinetry, keep small appliances off the main counters, and give the wall a natural focal point.

This is where every project actually starts. Not with paint, not with furniture. With the hard materials sitting next to each other in real light.

The hex mosaic, the wood tones, the large format tile. Photos and screens lie about color and texture all the time, so we put samples side by side before anything gets ordered.

If they don't work together on the table, they won't work together on the wall.

Basement playrooms usually get the leftover treatment. This one was planned with the same care as the rest of the house.

The built-in bench doubles as storage, which keeps the floor clear for playing, and the wallpaper adds personality without locking the room into a theme the kids will outgrow.
