One of the biggest reasons is to inspect your decking, the wood which your underlayment and shingles go down on! Until we remove your old shingles, we can't see what your decking looks like from just an aerial view. When a Roof Inspector is able to see the underside of your decking from the attic, they can help assess it's health before your project begins.
