Final aerations were completed this weekend, and the aerator received a well deserved wash down before being put away. Thank you to all of those clients that chose us this fall for your aeration needs!

With that change, we have also transitioned our larger mower to leaf vacuum mode. As your yard piles high with leaves, let us handle the clean up, as we finish out the fall season.

With the month of August upon us, now is the time to get your fall aeration and overseeding scheduled. We will start into our aeration and overseeding schedule within the next two to three weeks, allowing optimal seed growth, before our first frost date in October.

Also, when fall arrives, and your yard is covered in leaves, remember to reach out for your leaf clean up needs. Contact us for your quote, and reserve your spot soon.

With the extreme heat coming the next few days, a friendly reminder on when to water your lawn. Those with irrigation (or a very early riser in the house) should have systems programmed to finish around 5am, to help reduce chances of disease or fungus. During these times of high temps, it can also be beneficial to run a quick 5 minute per zone cycle around 3-4pm. This acts as a "cooling cycle" to help cool the canopy and very top of the soil down. Remember to keep yourself and animals hydrated as well.

Tech tip Tuesday: Now is a good time to get your spring fertilizer down. Fertilizers are measured by a series of three numbers, which provide the NPK or Nitrogen, Phosphorus, and potassium levels. For a good spring time fertilizer, look for NPK numbers around 20-0-5, one with Fe (iron) around 4-5% added to the NPK rating is even better for your lawns growth. A day of taking care of neighbors and family yards. Here is one that has had some hard work put into it over the past 2 years, and now we see the rewards. Would you look at those stripes!! One of the most common issues when you see a yard struggling is actually the mower height of cut. This property has been cut at 3.75-4" cut height for the past 2-3 years, and look how thick and dark it has gotten. Remember to measure your mower on flat ground, and measure to the cutting edge, a lot of mowers cut heights aren't what they are marked as.
