Who doesn't love a potluck?

Last week, our Interiors Team hosted a Minnesota State Fair themed potluck, complete with a photo booth, ring toss, and State Fair trivia. The spread was so impressive, with delicious fair-inspired foods including corndogs, pickle pizza, and chocolate chip cookies!

The Charlotte office joined in too, just for fun, because a special occasion isn't always needed to bring everyone together.

Coming early 2028 is Felix, a new affordable community in the high-growth Deer Valley Corridor of Phoenix, Arizona. Developed by Roers Companies, this 5-story, 191,000 square foot community will bring 147 units to a region with growing demand for quality affordable housing.

Designed to serve households earning up to 60% of the area median income, Felix includes a fitness center, private movie theatre, outdoor patio, playground, and dog run. Solar panel covered carports will provide shaded parking while generating clean energy, a practical response to the Arizona climate.

Opening in January 2028, Felix will help to close the affordable housing gap in Phoenix. We look forward to sharing more updates as construction progresses!

Our 2026 softball season has come to a close, and we're grateful for another summer of teamwork beyond the office. The team really rallied on the final day of the tournament. What could have been a quick single game turned into a three game evening as we kept advancing round after round!

- Raymie Johnson Estates

Located in Stillwater, Minnesota, Raymie Johnson Estates is an affordable senior housing community comprised of a 96-unit apartment building and 24 townhomes that serve residents aged 62 and older.

This project was an occupied renovation, meaning every improvement was made with current residents in mind, delivering upgraded, modernized, and higher-quality housing without displacing the community. The project included an addition that expanded the leasing and mail area, upgraded amenities, refreshed unit finishes, and a brand new parking lot. One of our favorite touches is a new library tucked into a previously unused fifth-floor elevator bay. A favorite of the resident's? The upgraded first floor elevator lobby that features a beautifully painted mural that was preserved through construction. Created by a resident, as a lasting reminder of the community's story.

We recently had the chance to tour Crosstown Landing in Andover, MN. Set to finish in early September, this Wedum Foundation community will offer 24 memory care units, 44 assisted living units, and 107 independent living units for the area.

This is just a first look, so keep an eye out for more in the coming months.

- The Ensley

Just 1.5 miles from downtown Wayzata, The Ensley is redefining what active adult living looks like. This new boutique-style, 55+ community by Greco pairs resort-style luxury with a vibrant, connected lifestyle. Now leasing, it offers everything from one-bedroom apartments to spacious penthouse three-bedroom residences.

Life here is built around connection and leisure. Residents enjoy a clubroom with a chef's kitchen, an outdoor pool, pickleball courts, a putting green, a coffee lounge, game room, library, three-season porches, and four outdoor fire pit lounges. Every space is thoughtfully designed to bring neighbors together. Plus, its Lake Minnetonka setting puts shopping, dining, and waterfront recreation right at your doorstep.

Every detail of this project came together beautifully, from the scenic views and landscaping to the thoughtfully designed interiors and exteriors. We can't wait to watch it fill with residents who will bring the community to life!

- Creek Mill

Located in Kannapolis, North Carolina, Creek Mill is a market rate housing community from Charter Properties. It features 269 units of walk-up apartments, townhomes, and carriage houses across 230,749 gross square feet. Set near the intersections of Kannapolis Parkway, Highway 73, and I-85, the community offers residents a lifestyle filled with comfort and convenience.

Outdoor amenities include a pavilion, saltwater pool, hammock garden, pet agility park, and additional green spaces, while indoor spaces feature a rec room, coffee bar, work-from-home Zoom rooms, a 24/7 fitness room, and a clubroom. Floorplans range from one to three bedrooms, each with nine-foot ceilings, stainless appliances, quartz counters, and private patios or balconies.

We are so proud of the finished product and would like to thank all of our project partners for their role in bringing this project to the finish line.

- Volta

We are proud to share Volta, a newly completed affordable housing community in Burnsville, MN. Designed for Roers Companies, Volta reimagines a 4.47 acre site that once held two office buildings, transforming underused commercial space into 172 much-needed affordable homes.

Volta brings vibrant design to a 290,000+ square foot building. The four story project offers one, two, and three bedroom floor plans above a level of underground parking, along with thoughtfully designed shared spaces including a rooftop deck, clubroom, fitness and yoga area, work from home lounge, tot lot, and dog run.

With income restricted units at 60% of area median income, Volta reflects our ongoing commitment to designing quality, attainable housing.
