Unfortunately, this past fall, the shop we had been in for 7 years was sold out from under us, and we were forced to find a new home. The stress and anxiety this caused were unbearable at times. My wife held me together with simple words of “when one door closes, another opens.” That was true. We found a new space in Blue Ash, just a couple of miles away. Moving over the winter was ideal, our slow season. Mother Nature had other plans, lots of snow. Between moving hundreds of thousands of pounds of block and putting our snow removal equipment on and off to move everything, it was exhausting. Not to mention the long hours of snow removal. Our new space was an overgrown jungle; we had no water source or bathroom, and a lot less indoor space. With the help of my stepdad and uncle Don, they made sure we had a newly furnished bathroom installed before the 120 days of hell/spring started. I can’t thank them enough. My guys cleaned up the yard and added a couple hundred tons of gravel. I am finally comfortable in our new space. So, always keep in mind that a new door will open when a door closes. It might not be comfortable because change never is.
