This week’s storms made their presence known, we wanted to share a few tips to help keep your pool in good shape.🌧️
After heavy rainfall, it’s a good idea to:
• Remove any leaves, sticks, or debris that may have washed into the pool.
• Brush the walls and floor to help prevent algae from getting started.
• Run your pool equipment longer than normal to keep water circulating and filtering properly.
• Check your chlorine levels and water chemistry.
• Keep an eye on your filter and clean or backwash if needed.
One thing we see after big storms is homeowners waiting a few days before addressing cloudy or dirty water. The sooner you tackle it, the easier it is to get things back to normal.
If your pool is looking a little rough after the rain, don’t panic. Heavy rain, flooding, and the heat can be a tough combination, but most issues can be corrected quickly when caught early.
