09/05/26 pine needle hunting again. I still have a good many pine needles that dried during my two weeks away on vacation, but I needed to fill up the racks again.
Unfortunately, this property will not be available for my harvesting for the next 4 months, as it is hunting season. I have other pine trees available to me, but the pine trees are more mature, the needles are not as long or as easily harvested. I may need to put people on waiting lists again. I'm sorry. But I am so thankful to my friends who have allowed me this past 9 months to harvest their needles!

My helper is a quick learner! She helped me prep, wash, rinse and lay the pine needles out in the sun. This is a longer reel- approximately 3 mins. I hope y'all enjoy this compilation

We arrived back from our vacation late Tuesday night and have spent the last 2 days catching up on jet lag. It's so nice to see long SC needles again after all the short Western pines and spruces. I've got lots of needles available if you want some. Prices linked below.

Thursday 8/20 my brother, my husband, and I flew to Alaska to visit friends. Yesterday we drove down the Kenai Península to Homer. Similar to the Oregon pines, the pines trees here have short needles.

Here's a couple baskets that I made on my vacation in Oregon. I had to bring some pine needles with me, of course. And these baskets and some of the Christmas ornaments have made great hostess gifts for the relatives we've been staying with.

I'm at the Rice Museum of Rocks and Minerals near Portland, Oregon. Look what cool petrified pine cones they have! These are from Argentina.

So far on my vacation, I have stayed with relatives, and it's been so much fun playing "find the basket", looking for baskets I have gifted them over the years. These were at my brother Dan's house.

This trip I gave relatives some Christmas ornaments, so Cheryl, Dan's wife, chose one.

I'm in Oregon now on vacation and I'm missing my SC longleaf pines! This state is beautiful, but my pines spoil me.
