Another beautiful project completed here on Lake Murray! This one was a rewarding transformation from start to finish.

When we arrived, the deck had extensive water damage, improper framing, and structural issues that needed to be corrected before any finish work could begin. We replaced the damaged framing with pressure-treated materials and rebuilt it the right way, giving these homeowners a deck that will provide years of enjoyment.

Project Highlights:
• Azek Mahogany premium decking
• TimberTech RadianceRail black railing system with cocktail rails
• 5½” x 5½” black post sleeves with pyramid post caps
• Picture-frame decking on both the main deck and stairs to conceal the hidden fastener grooves for a clean, finished appearance
• New pressure-treated horizontal skirting that provides attractive hidden storage beneath the deck
• Trex black aluminum railings throughout the screened room
• New fiberglass charcoal screening system installed on an aluminum track system for a sleek, modern finish

The end result is a durable, low-maintenance outdoor living space with a clean, timeless look that the homeowners can enjoy for many years to come.

Another lakefront deck transformation is well underway!

Over the past several days, we’ve been focused on correcting major structural issues that were hidden beneath the surface. Our crew removed rotted, non-pressure-treated framing and joists, replaced them with new pressure-treated lumber, and re-framed the deck to properly direct water away from the home instead of toward it.

We also installed the proper structural support beneath both corners of the screened porch to stop the settling that had been occurring.

We’re currently waiting on the remaining backordered materials so we can bring this project across the finish line. Once they arrive, we’ll be:
• Replacing all decking boards inside the screened porch
• Installing brand-new screens throughout
• Removing the existing white railing and upgrading to sleek black aluminum railing
• Installing the remaining post caps for the finishing touches

Quality starts with what’s underneath. Taking the time to correct structural issues before installing new finishes ensures this deck will be safe, solid, and built to last for years to come.

Some before and after pics of the work completed this week in Summerville! Was a fun week for this project. Lots of custom trim and beam work. Beams are all 5/4 poplar and walls are 3/4 primed poplar. Off to do more decks now again!

The installation of a new door from the master bedroom to our newly built deck is now complete in Irmo. Our next project will be in Chapin, where we will construct another deck.
