Tropical Storm Edouard, the fifth named storm of the 2026 season, has made landfall near Johnson Bayou, Louisiana with sustained winds of 60 miles per hour. Edouard has also brought strong wind gusts and heavy rain to the Houston area as it continues to move inland.

Major storms have been slow to form this year, as predicted. But that is no excuse to not be prepared.
