Mosquitoes often seem worse after it rains—and there's a good reason for it. Here's why:
🌧️ Rainwater collects in buckets, gutters, flower pots, puddles, and other low spots, creating perfect breeding grounds for mosquitoes. Female mosquitoes lay their eggs in stagnant water, and just a few days later, those eggs hatch into larvae.
🌧️ After a rainstorm, the air is more humid—and mosquitoes love warm, moist environments. Humidity helps them stay hydrated and active longer.
🌧️ Rain makes grass and plants grow quickly, creating more shady hiding spots for mosquitoes to rest during the day.
