As I’m wrapping up my day and chatting with my wife, she reminds me that no matter how many times I say something, there will always be someone else that hasn’t heard it. With that in mind, I just want to once again remind everyone that when it comes to windows there are those that just want to make money, and those that want to provide a true honest great service. Please, please, please don’t let anyone block set / slip fit your windows in anything but block and brick. I highly encourage everyone to ask chat gpt or google about this. Block setting in composite, hardy, or any other none block and brick products opens you up to tremendous amounts of potential damage in your home. Caulking exposed to UV and the elements will fail, if that’s the only thing preventing water from getting it, it’s not a matter of if it’s getting in, it’s how long before it does. Improper set windows could cost you tens of thousands. Get informed and ask questions.
