You may have heard by now that on June 3, 2024 Aldape Sprinklers decided to permanently close their doors. This was disheartening to us as the original founders of Aldape as we really hoped that the new owners could make it work.

Some of you know that when we sold Aldape, Mike formed BoiseBackflow.Com. Boise Backflow has primarily focused on Backflow Testing, Repair and Installation. As well as, Sprinkler Main Valve Replacement. With the closing of Aldape, we have also decided to add Sprinkler Blowouts to our list of services. Mike has talked Cindy into coming out of retirement to take on the phone and scheduling duties for the Sprinkler Blowout Season. That way when you call, you will most likely get a person.

If you get a machine during business hours, it is because she is on the phone with anther customer. (Sprinkler Blowout time is crazy this way). Just leave a message and she will call you back. LANDSCAPE FOREMAN POSITION -
Position Summary:
This is a leadership position and requires a minimum 3 years experience in the landscape and sprinkler installation industry. You will be a working foreman, and will be leading a crew doing landscape construction and sprinkler installation. You will be expected to be hard working, honest, dependable, and able to motivate workers to get the job done right and in a timely manner. We work between the hours of 8am to 6pm Monday Through Friday and have weekends off.
Job Duties:
-Installing commercial and residential sprinkler systems including converting city water system to irrigation system
-Grading
-Installing SOD
-Installing Pavers and Flagstone
-Building Retaining Walls
-Installing Landscape Lighting
-Planting Trees, Shrubs, etc
-Replacing various styles of sprinklers
-Repairing stations and main lines
-Replacing, rebuilding and repairing valves
-Installing, repairing and programming controllers
-Other landscape tasks
-Additionally, you will be required to train and supervise crew members with their task.
Qualifications and Requirements:
-Experience running a landscape crew including coordinating jobs
-Experience operating landscape related equipment (Pullers/Vibratory Plows, Trenchers, Skidsteers, Mini-Excavators, etc).
-Valid Driver's license w/ clean driving record
-Reliable Transportation
-Knowledge and experience installing sprinkler systems
-Knowledge and experience building retaining walls, installing pavers, installing plants and sod

This is a Skilled Trade Position and requires a minimum of 3 years experience. You will be responsible for the repair and maintenance of Residential & Commercial Irrigation Systems. Irrigation Technicians must have a strong work ethic, be self starters, have strong problem solving skills, and enjoy interacting with customers.
Essential Position Functions:
-Install and Repair systems and ensure they function efficiently.
-Repair and maintain valves, tracing electrical components, installing and initializing clocks and timers, locating existing zones and valves, and performing pump repairs.
-Ensure that customers are satisfied completely through effective communication, relationship building, and regular site visits.
Position Requirements:
-Must be able to operate, lift, carry, push, and pull 20 to 50 pounds of landscape material and equipment.
-Have the ability to start and use all irrigation power equipment without aid from others.
-Be able to make frequent repetitive movements with the left and right hand, wrist, ankle, and knee.
Position Experience and Skills Required:
-Minimum of three years experience working with residential and commercial irrigation systems.-Experience with customer service.
-Irrigation Certification is a plus.
-Effective oral and written communication skills.
-Ability to prioritize and multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
-Ability to safely maneuver a truck and trailer to and from jobsite(s).
-Ability to effectively understand and communicate with Manager and crew members.
-Possess an Idaho Drivers License and a clean driving record.
