Hi Everyone!
SMD is excited to be partnering with Hecla Nevada and several of our fellow mining companies for the inaugural Battle of the Mines 2026 Blood Drive Championship! This is a great opportunity for our mining community to come together, support an important cause, and have a little friendly competition along the way. Every donation can help save up to three lives, and every donor will also be automatically entered into the grand prize giveaway.

The blood drive will be held at the Winnemucca Convention Center:
Sunday, October 4, 2026 3:00 PM – 8:00 PM
Monday, October 5, 2026 11:00 AM – 4:00 PM

Please see the attached flyer for additional information and use the QR code to schedule your donation. Walk-ins are also welcome. We would love to see a strong turnout, so please share this with your coworkers, family, and friends. Let’s show our support and help make a positive impact in our community.
