Watch for these in your turf areas. These are cranberry girdle and they don't normally cause enough significant damage that we worry about them. The adults are emerging now. They're not great flyers so they kind of bounce around on the grass. The larvae eat crown and roots of turf, predominantly in Kentucky bluegrass. Tall fescue will require a super high infestation.
A seasonal infestation may result in damage to fir trees and spruce.
