What happens before the concrete pour matters just as much as the finished surface.

Once the ground has been graded and properly prepped, we install steel reinforcement before the concrete goes in. This grid becomes part of the slab, adding reinforcement and helping the concrete perform as one connected surface.

It’s one of those steps that completely disappears once the concrete is poured - but it’s an important part of doing the job right.

Sometimes a transformation isn’t about starting over - it’s about making what’s already there feel complete.

For this Meridian backyard, we expanded the existing paver area, carefully matching the original pattern so the new work flowed seamlessly with what was already there.

Then we wrapped the pavers around the fountain, giving it a defined space and turning it into a true focal point of the yard.

Same backyard. Same fountain. A much more intentional space. 👌

One of the most important parts of a landscape project is something you probably won’t even notice when we’re finished.

The grade.

Before the sod, plants, rock or hardscaping goes in, we’re paying attention to the elevations of the property and how water will move when it rains or the sprinklers run.

Proper grading helps direct water where it needs to go instead of allowing it to collect around structures, patios or low spots in the yard.

It’s not the most exciting part of a transformation - but getting the groundwork right makes a big difference in how the finished landscape performs.

The right tool makes all the difference. 👌

This machine cuts narrow trenches through the ground, giving us a clean path for new sprinkler lines without digging everything out by hand.

It may just look like a satisfying piece of equipment doing its thing, but it helps us work efficiently and get new irrigation exactly where it needs to go.

As each paver goes in, we're also tapping it into place to get a tight fit and keep the finished surface smooth and even underfoot.

Ever wonder why we lay sod like a giant green quilt? 🌱

It's not just for looks.

Instead of lining up every seam, we stagger each row - similar to laying bricks. This helps avoid long continuous seams, keeps the pieces more securely in place, and creates a tighter, more uniform surface as the roots begin establishing into the soil below.

The goal? Fewer noticeable gaps and a lawn that grows together into one beautiful, seamless space.

Even something as simple as laying sod has a right way to do it. 👌
