Ever wondered why we spend so much time working the surface of freshly poured concrete?

It's not just about making it look nice!

After concrete is poured, it needs to be leveled and worked to create an even surface before the final finishing steps begin.

This process helps eliminate high and low spots, brings the surface into shape, and prepares it for the finish the project calls for.

It's one of those steps that might look simple, but getting it right takes experience and attention to detail.

And yes, it's pretty satisfying to watch!

Sometimes a tree doesn't need to go. It just needs a new home!

A little behind-the-scenes look at the preparation that goes into relocating a tree.

Before we can move it, we need to prepare its new location, making sure there's enough room for the root ball and that the planting depth is appropriate.

It might just look like we're digging a big hole, but there's a little more planning involved than that.

Sometimes transforming a landscape means working with what you already have, just in a different place.

One of the most important parts of landscaping is something you might never notice when the project is finished.

Proper grading.

Before we start adding sod, pavers, or other landscaping features, we have to consider how water will move across the property.

Without proper grading, rainwater and irrigation runoff can collect in unwanted areas, creating drainage problems and potentially damaging the surrounding landscape.

It's not always the most exciting part of a transformation, but getting the groundwork right makes a big difference in how everything holds up over time.

A beautiful landscape starts long before the finishing touches!
