When I was twelve I asked my mother to show me how to thread the machine and the rest came naturally. In 1994 I moved to Saint James City, FL from Springfield, MO. While living here in SWFL I have pursued my passion for design, with a position at Williams-Sonoma and then later as Design Manager for David Weekley Homes. Years of working in a design center, furnishing models/spec homes and making vi

sual displays have brought me to where I am today. Material Green allows me to create on another level. As they say "you'll never work a day in your life if you love what you are doing!"

As I get older large pieces become more challenging....upholstering a couch or sectional takes lots of lifting, turning, flipping over etc. As I spend most of my time working alone this can be difficult.....BUT....slipcovers?!?! YES!

With lots of planning, patterns and measurements a fitted slipcover can look like upholstery ❤️

Just completed a slipcover for a sectional in a lovely Bokeelia home. Constructed from performance it is practical on so many levels!!

One of many June projects completed. Stay tuned more to come!
