🍽️ Kitchen Sink Backed Up? Grease Strikes Again! 🚨💧

Kitchen sink clogs are one of the most common plumbing problems we see, and grease buildup is usually the culprit.

In this video, we cleared a blocked kitchen drain using our Milwaukee Pistol Rod machine through a conveniently located 2-inch cleanout underneath the sink. Once we opened the line, we ran plenty of hot water behind the cable to help flush out the grease and thoroughly clean the drain.

✔️ Restores proper flow

💡 Pro Tip:
Even though grease goes down the drain as a liquid, it cools and solidifies inside the pipes over time. Combined with soap and food particles, it can create stubborn blockages.

🚨 This shower literally fell apart from years of hard water and calcium buildup! 🚿😳

The homeowner had reached the point where the shower valve cartridge had failed and water was constantly running. The only solution? Shut the water off and call in the pros.

Upon inspection, we found multiple components that had deteriorated and needed replacement, including:

✔️ Moen Posi-Temp Cartridge
✔️ Tub Drain Assembly
✔️ Overflow Plate
✔️ Tub Spout
✔️ Moen Trim Kit

The old parts were heavily coated with calcium and mineral deposits, making removal a challenge. Fortunately, with the proper tools—including a Moen cartridge puller—we were able to safely remove and replace everything and get this tub and shower back in service.

💡 Did you know?

Hard water and mineral buildup can shorten the life of cartridges, drains, and plumbing fixtures. If your shower won’t shut off, has poor temperature control, or you notice leaks around the tub drain, it may be time for repairs.

🔥 It’s the little details that make the difference! 💧🔧

In this video, we’re making up the water connections on a new water heater using dielectric unions and ProPress fittings.

Before installing the dielectric union, we first wrap the water heater ni**le with Teflon tape and then apply thread sealant paste for an extra layer of protection and smoother thread engagement. Once the connections are made, we complete the installation using our ProPress system for a clean, reliable connection.

💡 Why use dielectric unions?

✔️ Help prevent corrosion between dissimilar metals.
✔️ Extend the life of your water heater connections.
✔️ Make future water heater replacements easier.
