It is with a very heavy heart that I make this announcement. Love's Tree Service is closing its doors after 20 years of faithful service to the southeast Brunswick county area. I (Drew Love) have been dealing with back issues for far too long with the threat of doing permanent damage always lingering. This year has been exceptionally rough as most of you already know. I had to replace some of our big equipment and that process took a lot longer than expected putting a lot of pressure on me to catch up. Unfortunately my back has been acting up more and more over the last few months and recently put me down again completely. Although I fear that I have already done permanent damage I can't risk it anymore and need more time than I can ask my customers and crew to wait in order to heal. This decision was not made lightly or easily. One of the things that I am at ease with is that there are more local tree care companies now then I have seen the entire time I have lived here. I know that you all will find one that can take care of the needs that I have had the pleasure of tending to for the last 20 years. I want to thank all of my customers that have trusted me and my crews and used our service over the duration of my career. From the absolute bottom of my heart, I THANK YOU! I'm eternally grateful for each and every one of y'all! I have been truly blessed to be able to work for and with so many amazing people, companies and crew members over the years and will take those memories with me everyday and every where for the rest of my life. Thank you guys for an amazing 20 years getting to serve you! I love you all and God bless everyone of y'all!

We are not taking on ANY new jobs/estimates until further notice. Please do not message this page or Drew Love about getting an estimate. This has been a very rough year and we are doing everything we can to keep any kind of schedule. Drew is only one person and can't be three different places at one time. Thank you. 2024 is the 20 year anniversary of this business and it has been one of the toughest and most challenging years so far. Even though i purchased two major pieces of the fleet to replace ones that were constantly breaking down and slowing us down. Those two pieces have made a world of difference but have had some issues with the truck. That said It has caused us to be even further behind and destroyed the schedule in every way. The tropical storm that hit us last Monday has had us cleaning up after it for almost two whole weeks and with the roads in the condition they are in it takes twice as long to get to the dump, to run back to the shop to get the stump grinder and so on. Which slows us down even more. Please know that all this is not what I want or how I wanted things to go this summer. It has been physically, mentally and emotionally a very difficult year for me. Thank you all that have stuck with us and especially to the ones that have helped me deal with all this. Please as always be safe and love one another.

Made a new friend today!! This little fella wasn't even in the tree we were working on but came straight up to me and I could just tell he was asking for help. Pretty sure momma got killed or abandoned him. He is safe and sound at Bolduc's Wildlife Rescue getting the nutrients and love he needs.

Good morning y'all. Looks like the worst of the rain is past us but we are not out of the woods yet. Still more rain coming but shouldn't be too bad. The winds today's are going be the strongest we have seen so far on this one but again not terrible. Stay safe and smart. Again nothing is worth your or putting others at risk. Well Debby is coming into the area. Lots of rain expected with this one. Not so much wind with this one but as always there is the possibility of tornado spin-offs. Flooding is definitely the major concern at this point. Please be smart and just stay indoors during this time. If you don't need to be out and about, don't be. Flood waters can be very deceiving and it takes a lot less moving water to move a vehicle than you think and nothing is worth your life or putting others at risk. As always me and the crew are ready for whatever we can do to help. Praying we don't get a lot of damage off this one but if we do we are here and ready to go. Stay safe y'all!

As of July 12th, We are booked solid until mid September. We are NOT taking on any new estimates/ jobs. With hurricane season here, if a storm hits it could put us out another month on top of that. Truly sorry for any inconvenience this may cause anyone. But we have to have the time to keep up the equipment and ourselves or we will be down in a major way again. We will start taking new estimates/jobs towards the end of August. Thanks again. God bless and have a great day.

Well I guess 2024 just isn't our year! New truck has been giving us issues with the exhaust cleaning system. It has definitely kept us from being able to use it everyday. Which has put us behind on the schedule we already have. We are doing the smaller jobs we can but that isn't much. I didn't spend $65,000 to be in the same situation of not knowing when the truck was gonna be able to work or not. On top of that we have lost the crane company we have been using for years due to them getting out of the business. It will take a while to get a new relationship and trust built up with a new company. So once again I ask for patience and understanding as we deal with more big blows to our operation. Thank you!

Just spoke with the town Rep for tree permits on Oak Island again. ANY AND EVERY tree removal will need to get a permit before for the removal! Trimming is ok but ALL REMOVALS NEED A PERMIT! It will be all online after today/ this week and the cost is $35. Trust me it is NOT better to ask forgiveness instead of permission! Best advice I can give is to obtain your permit before you even call for an estimate. Thanks again y'all and have a wonderful day.

Edit: there will NOT be a fee involved but all tree removal will need a permit.
