Dear loyal Jake’s Landscaping Customers,

First things first, I want to thank you for your loyalty and business for the many years we have worked together. I have tried my best to deliver a great service and to be attentive to your requests and for that you have rewarded me, my company and my team members with praise, referrals and terrific ratings. Thank you.

This year I have made one of the hardest decisions a business person can do. I have decided to close Jake's Landscaping. I have made several strong efforts to find a suitable company to either buy the business or to contract the work for the remainder of the season without much luck. Unfortunately the labor shortage is plaguing everyone in the industry.

As of 9/1/2021 Jake’s Landscaping will no longer be able to service any of our remaining lawn mowing, fall cleanup, or snow plowing customers for this year. I’m extremely sad and it breaks my heart to close the business in such a way.

Effort:
Met with 12+ prospective buyers and sub contractors
I have called over 30 lawn companies in the surrounding area (All short staffed)
I have offered to finance the right buyer
My business is too big for the small and small for the big as well.

Why do this now?
I start at Bentley University in September. Between sports and academics all I could really do is the back office work. Without the right sub contractor, buyer and or partner I couldn’t keep my name out there. I'm sorry!

To those of you who have been with me from the beginning I thank you from the bottom of my heart for the support and friendship. Seasonal prepay customers will be sent a check this week for work that remains to be completed.

I hope our paths cross again.

Some pictures of co-owner Alex’s mowing from last week. The rain has made it difficult to stay ahead of the leaves but we are pushing through to stay on schedule as much as possible for both mowing and clean-ups.

Jake’s Landscaping is seeking responsible individuals with strong working knowledge of proper lawn mowing techniques and experience operating different machines. Days of the week- Wednesday, Thursday, Friday (Exceptions only related to weather)

REQUIREMENTS:

All applicants must have 1 or more years of hands-on training or experience with professional lawn maintenance. A positive customer service attitude, excellent communication skills, and detail orientation are required. Applicants are required to perform all physical aspects of position and lift at least 50 lbs. Must possess a valid driver's license and must enjoy working outdoors.
