Have you been wanting to build a home but are finding the prices too high right now? A semi-custom home might be the answer you're looking for. With semi-custom homes, builders take an existing plan and allow for some modifications. This approach gives you some personalization without starting completely from scratch. The process is usually faster and more predictable than fully custom builds, and pricing tends to sit in the mid-range. You can always start here and make changes later down the road! As long as the bones are good (the layout, build quality, planning for what you might add in a few years time, etc), you can add onto a section of the house, add a second story, or renovate anything you want to at any time!
