SKYHAWK | AS FEATURED IN T: The New York Times Style Magazine
There’s something special about giving an original structure new life - without losing the character that made it worth saving in the first place.
Our team at B&B Kitchen & Bath Design Studio, in partnership with our parent company, Blanc & Bailey Construction joined forces to bring the vision for Skyhawk to life, transforming a 1960s chalet at the foot of Mount Ascutney in Brownsville, Vermont, into a masterfully renovated four-bedroom mountain retreat. 🛠️
Working alongside our clients at Fowlkes Studio, the build centered around a simple idea: create a space that feels connected to its surroundings. 🌿
Expansive windows open the home to sweeping countryside views, salvaged wood planks bring warmth and history to the ceilings, and durable materials - including rubber flooring, were elevated for everyday living. 🏡
Outside, gathering spaces extend the experience beyond the walls of the home, with a fire pit and hot tub surrounded by the Vermont landscape.
This project was truly one-of-a-kind, and we're honored to have this renovation recognized for its unique character.
