Don has discovered that his favorite niche here in Boundary County ranges from repair work to medium remodels and small builds such as garages and shops. Since he does all the work himself, and has chosen to not run a crew, the medium to small projects and repairs work best for meeting the customer's desired completion date.

If you have a larger job or new home construction and speed is not a factor, he could be your man. Otherwise, using a Drywall Contractor that runs a crew would probably be your best bet.

Looking forward through October 2020, Stanford Drywall has some open time to schedule small size projects such as repairs, single rooms or small homes/buildings that are in the Bonners Ferry area (between the Canadian border and Naples). We need to stay local in order to work around the existing projects already booked during this time.

SHEETROCK INSTALLATION AND FINISHING

Drywall work is hard. The hanging of the large, heavy sheets can be mind-numbing for the untrained and we cannot stress enough the importance of proper installation. Finishing drywall is an art.

Homeowners might choose to hang their own drywall or use labor that is untrained in drywall installation in an attempt to reduce overall costs.

Keep in mind that improper installation will impact the structural integrity and most likely increase finishing costs for the project.

For those that choose to tackle hanging their own drywall, we suggest that at the very least you study and follow this guide published by USG (United States Gypsum Corporation)
