Here are some photos from a job completed in Ariel, WA earlier this fall. This is a tree plantation that was planted 40+ years ago. The home owners wanted to thin out the dead standing trees, create lanes that they could drive their tractor through to maintain the space and get rid of all the fallen trees that were in the way and creating a fire hazard. We mulched several hundred trees to give the healthy trees sun light and room to grow. These trees were mostly 8-10" in diameter and stood 40-60' tall. It is hard to tell how many standing trees were removed from the photos but the end result really opened up the plantation and allowed a lot of light to come through.
