While most people were sleeping, the Drain-Pro team was hard at work!

We had the opportunity to clean the storm system for a large retail facility in Tigard. The work needed to happen overnight so their day-to-day operations could keep moving without interruption.

Sometimes the best time to get the job done is after hours!

Septic problems can become much more noticeable during periods of heavy rain.

When the soil around a system becomes saturated, there is less room for wastewater to drain properly. Slow drains, gurgling, odors, backups, or unusually wet areas in the yard may become more noticeable when groundwater is high.

If the same problems keep returning during wet weather, it may be worth having the system evaluated instead of assuming rain is the only issue.

What you plant over and around your drain field matters.

Grass and shallow-rooted plants are generally a safer choice because trees and large shrubs can send roots toward underground moisture. Those roots may eventually interfere with septic pipes or other system components.
