CALL Lawnscape Concepts For All Your ESSENTIAL Lawn Care Needs @ 318-402-9333
Breaking News,
We have been busy today working on getting more information for all of us in the Green industry here in Louisiana for us to keep our doors open and provide needed services.
I have been in contact with Commissioner Strain and Lt. Governor Billy Nungesser today. Both assured us of the essential nature of our businesses.
Garden Centers selling edible plants, seeds, products needed for gardening, etc are able to stay open.
Landscapers and lawn maintenance companies are critical in keeping green spaces maintained.
Ag/farming is our nurserymen and they are essential.
Anyone not doing or participating in the above is not essential.
That being said, EVERYONE MUST be in compliance with the safe social distancing regulations, groups no larger than 10 and all precautions necessary!!
There are several rumors going around that garden centers are being asked to cease business operations and from what we have found out that is a rumor. I personally talked to Terrebone's Parish President, Gordy Dove. He wanted me to tell all of our association that it is not true, he is not trying to shut down our nurseries. He wanted me to express the opposite; to please remain open and that the nurseries are providing a special need. Everyone should abide by safe distancing and no large crowds recommended and he wishes everyone the best during this critical time.
I have included Commissioners latest letter again below. And these are his words to us "Please find enclosed a copy of critical infrastructure entities. Garden centers are considered essential as they provide for plants, seed, fertilizer, etc including those components necessary for home gardening and food production. I am asking that you allow them to remain open as long as they comply with proper social distancing and CDC guidelines and protocols."
Again we stress to please follow the safe distance protocols and do the right thing.
God bless us all,
