Mark Little started the company in 2006 and grew it through his strong community roots, building a solid reputation one customer at a time. Taking advantage of the last good stretch of August from a South Boston roof deck.

And the view isn’t the only thing worth showing off. We worked with Viewrail on a custom floating stair leading up to a Dayliter roof hatch, making the access to the deck feel like part of the design, not an afterthought.

Because if you’re building a roof deck like this, getting there should look just as good.

Built with Boston families in mind.

This thoughtfully designed development transformed an underused 18,000-square-foot lot into six spacious condominiums, each featuring three to four bedrooms, open living spaces, generous storage, rear decks, off-street parking, and convenient access to the T.

From a complex zoning process to the final finishes, this project reflects what is possible when smart design, community collaboration, and experienced construction come together.

When one renovation quote comes in $60,000 lower than another, it is tempting to assume you have found the better deal.

But before you compare the totals, make sure you are comparing the same job.

A lower bid may include smaller allowances, more exclusions, no contingency for hidden conditions, or assumptions about the property that another contractor has already accounted for. Those costs do not necessarily disappear—they often return later as change orders.

After a devastating fire gutted this corner three-decker on Columbia Road in South Boston, little remained beyond the structure itself. The windows were blown out, the openings boarded up, and the sidewalk surrounded by cones and fencing.

Abacus Builders brought the property back from the studs up—rebuilding the structure, exterior, windows, mechanical systems, interiors, and finishes. Completed in 2021, all three units were restored to condo-quality standards, including a roof deck off the top floor.
