What a day for Giving Circle!

This summer, Suffolk teams across the country came together to help students start the school year with confidence. Through backpack drives, school supply donations, volunteer events and financial contributions, our teams supported schools, students and nonprofit partners in the communities where we live and build.

By the numbers:

• 2,500+ backpacks distributed to students and families
• 2,000+ employee volunteer hours dedicated to organizing, packing, collecting and distributing supplies
• $90,000 invested in back-to-school initiatives, wish-list purchases and volunteer support for schools and community partners
• 30+ community investments and volunteer initiatives completed across Suffolk regions

From Nevada to New York and Florida to California, we’re proud of the collective impact our teams and community partners made this back-to-school season.

High school students in Massachusetts are lining up in droves to gain access to a vocational education — as of December 2025, between 5,000 and 10,000 students were on waiting lists for vocational schools across the state. Thanks to community support and funds from the state, vocational schools are finally starting to grow their facilities to meet demand. We're fortunate to have Vice President and Project Executive Matteo Batista overseeing many of these projects. He shares his community-based approach in this article: https://www.linkedin.com/pulse/why-every-detail-matters-when-we-build-vocational-schools-batista-uenmc

Suffolk Miami recently celebrated the topping off of Miami-Dade County Government’s Integrated Command & Communications Center at Lightspeed in Sweetwater, marking the completion of the facility’s structural framework and a major milestone toward delivering one of the region’s most advanced emergency operations centers. Built through a design-build approach and in close coordination with project partners, the work has progressed alongside an active 911 call center while leveraging digital modeling, documentation and logistics technologies to support safe, efficient delivery.

Designed in partnership with Gensler, the new facility will serve as Miami-Dade County’s centralized headquarters for emergency coordination, with a next-generation Emergency Operations Center, rooftop helipad and 80-foot communications tower. Built to withstand Category 5 hurricanes, Lightspeed is designed to support continuous operations during hurricanes, public safety events and other regional crises, strengthening the County’s emergency preparedness and response capabilities for decades to come.

Suffolk Northeast joined the Greater Fall River Vocational School District, state and local officials, educators and community members to celebrate the ribbon cutting and completion of the new Diman Regional Vocational Technical High School. The 400,000-square-foot, state-of-the-art facility will provide more than 1,500 students across Greater Fall River, Westport, Somerset and Swansea with expanded opportunities for hands-on learning, technical education and career pathways.

Delivered on time and on budget alongside an active school campus, Diman represents one of the largest and most complex K-12 projects in Massachusetts and reflects the strength of our K-12 team and partners. From specialized vocational shops and training facilities to a 600-seat auditorium and expansive trade hall, every space was built to support the next generation of students and skilled professionals. We’re proud to have helped bring this long-standing vision to life and deliver a learning environment that will serve the community for generations to come.

Suffolk Northeast is proud to help shape the next chapter of Lowell High School, where a major renovation and rebuild is transforming the historic campus for generations of students to come. A recent project tour gave Lowell High School alumni and community leaders a firsthand look at the progress, from the renovated Coburn Hall and future media center to the newly opened Cyrus Irish Auditorium.

Projects like Lowell High School reflect the strength of Suffolk’s K-12 teams and the deep commitment they bring to the communities we serve. By combining experience delivering complex, phased school projects with a focus on collaboration and community impact, our K-12 group is helping create learning environments that honor their history while supporting students, educators and local communities well into the future.

If you've driven by our Boston headquarters recently, you likely saw the construction site in our backyard. That's 100MAG, and the name is more than just shorthand for its address on Magazine Street.

The acronym stands for machine learning, artificial intelligence, and global partnerships — all priority initiatives that will have a home in this new hub for innovation. Here, we're creating space for next-generation collaboration that will transform our company and industry.

100MAG opens its doors in October. Today, we're building the future. Literally.

Our Suffolk Las Vegas team showed up in a big way for local students and families this back-to-school season! Together, our employees organized, packed, and filled more than 300 backpacks to help students start the school year with confidence.

Through our partnership with Campus for Hope, 200 backpacks were distributed to students at Doris Hancock Elementary School, where Suffolk volunteers joined the school's orientation event and helped create a special "shopping" experience for students and their families as they selected their new backpacks. We also provided 100 backpacks to children and families supported by the Nevada Childhood Cancer Foundation, helping ensure they have the supplies needed for a successful school year.

In addition, we donated $1,000 in school supplies through the Nevada Contractors Association, supporting students across three local elementary schools.

Thank you to everyone who volunteered their time and helped make a positive impact in our community. Together, we're helping build brighter futures for the next generation.
