🥀“Small herbs have grace: great weeds do grow apace" – W. Shakespeare

Over the summer, RDLA started work on the restoration of a Shakespeare Garden in Cedar Brook Park in Plainfield NJ, with great anticipation and excitement. Our staff was thrilled to have the opportunity to work on one of these rare thematic gardens, this one being uniquely situated within an Olmsted Brothers Park and listed on the National Register of Historic Places, and included in the Smithsonian Institution Archives.

Although weeds do grow apace, the maintenance woes go beyond this. With the all-volunteer staff of the Plainfield Garden Club charged with the maintenance and legacy of the garden, RDLA was contracted to develop a sustainable plan for its future. At the heart of the preservation plan lies the planting strategy that can both honor Shakespeare and his works, and thrives in the specific climate, featuring Cedar Brook Park in Plainfield NJ, with great anticipation and excitement. Our Staff is just getting underway, and RDLA is sincerely delighted to have the opportunity!

🔧Our design comes to life in Worcester in collaboration with Bartek Konieczny! Made in Worcester, indeed! The "Wrench Bench" that's part of the city's "Main Street Reimagined" project has officially been installed outside the City Hall, and we absolutely love it!
The piece was created to recognize the invention of the monkey wrench, or adjustable wrench, invented by Worcester native Loring Coes in the 1800s.
