Repair Tech Wanted - Charlestown (Boston), MA
We're looking for a skilled, passionate guitar tech to join the team. If you love the craft, take pride in your work, and want to be part of a shop that genuinely cares about the instruments that come through the door - read on.
What you'd be doing:
- Setups, fretwork, and general repairs on acoustic and electric guitars and basses
- Wiring, electronics, and pickup installs
- Communicating with customers about their instruments and repair needs
- Completing repairs on time and meeting customer turnaround expectations
- Keeping the shop organized and running smoothly
What we're looking for:
- At least 1-2 years of hands-on repair and setup experience (self-taught or formally trained - we care about demonstrable results)
- Familiarity with a wide range of guitar styles and constructions (vintage, modern, classical, extended range etc)
- Someone who's detail-oriented, reliable, and communicates well
- Ability to work independently and manage their own workflow
- Open to learning new skills
