We recognize that quality is the result of how completely considered and thoroughly executed each of our projects is. We are proud of the recent design awards that our firm has received and believe it reflects positively on our efforts to achieve design excellence on all of our projects. For nearly four decades, we have sustained our focus on delivering elegant, appropriate and carefully detailed buildings. Our firm heritage is founded on the design of memorable places that foster learning. Whether a high performing school, a compelling performance venue, a noteworthy exhibition space or an innovative library, we believe in the importance that these institutions have for communities and for society. We are highly regarded today by the design and construction industries - but most importantly by our clients. Our buildings embody the character and vision of the communities and institutions for which they are built. This is the central mission of our work – giving built form to our client’s aspirations.

last week’s Design Institute was a meaningful exercise & discussion of current and future library design trends! Panel discussions on crafting spaces with communities as well as adaptable and equitable libraries encouraged librarians and aechitects alike. The day was capstoned by our design challenge with reimagining their well-loved library to better meet their diverse functions.

At Walpole High School, construction has been rapidly progressing.

This renovation project is designed to enhance Science, Music, Physical Education, and Administrative spaces, and also includes the addition of a new Fieldhouse. These updates are vital in supporting 21st-century learning and will help facilitate collaboration, problem-solving, and digital literacy among WHS students.

We are excited about the progress being made! Agostini Bacon Construction Companies

More power, lower costs.

Lynch Elementary School recently served as the setting for an exciting announcement: Governor Maura Healey’s executive order advancing clean energy initiatives across the Commonwealth. It is an honor for Lynch to be chosen to physically represent those initiatives.

The all-electric Lynch Elementary School reflects a community-driven vision for a high-performance, resilient and sustainable learning environment. Supported by on-site solar generation and efficient systems, the facility reduces operational carbon and aligns with Massachusetts’ path toward net-zero emissions.

At Tappe Architects, we approach design as a means of supporting communities by creating enduring, high-performing environments that advance long-term environmental stewardship.

At Lynch Elementary School, students generated ideas for a mural in their new building. Artist turned their ideas into reality. The result is 12 vibrant, imaginative pieces of artwork that showcase the students' creativity. We are so excited to share these images of the completed installation! Thanks to artist Bren Bataclan and the team at Lynch Elementary!

Welcome to Melrose Public Library! This addition-renovation opened its doors to the community in April of 2025, 121 years after the original building was completed. The resulting library boasts a new community room, programming space, children’s room, and teen area. This historic Carnegie Library is protected through the restoration of elements like intricate woodwork, historic fireplaces, and stained-glass windows.
