Winter is coming, Boulder City! ❄️

We’ve had such a beautiful extended fall — not too hot, not too cold — perfect desert weather! But as temps drop, I always get asked: “Do we winterize our pools here?”

The short answer: not really. Our winters are mild, so your pool stays active year-round. That means it still needs care, even if you’re not swimming!

Skipping winter maintenance can lead to cloudy water, stains, or damage later on. Just a few small changes make a big difference — like adjusting your pump schedule so water moves during the coldest part of the day.

If you have a salt system, remember it stops producing chlorine once the water gets too cold, so we switch back to standard chemistry for the season. And if you’ve got solar heating, be sure to winterize those rooftop lines — they can freeze and crack if water’s left inside.

Even after 13 years in pool care, I’m still learning new things all the time. I love this work and our Boulder City community — been proud to call it home since 2005. ❤️

Looking to hire an EXPERIENCED pool tech. 20 local pools to start. I'm picky. Borderline OCD. And I pride myself in my current customer retention rate. I've worked hard to build to this point. I don't want to train somebody. I understand pay rates, and the pay will be proper. Must have your own vehicle, preferably a truck. I can spot a drug addict a mile away, and I'm not playing that. Looking for a pool tech that is looking to make an extra $400-$500 a week.
