We are looking for a hard-working highly skilled framer/carpenter to join our small family-owned construction business. Chris Kelley Contracting does all aspects of residential building including minor repairs and maintenance to additions and full home remodels. We value integrity and expect high-quality work from all our employees and sub-contractors. The ideal candidate sees themself as a long-term employee and wants to learn and grow with us.

Requirements:

- minimum of 10-years’ experience in rough framing carpentry. Must have extensive experience with high end/quality framing of custom residential structures. We expect perfectly square, plumb and level framing. Anything less is unacceptable.

- must be motivated, hard-working and a quick learner (construction is hard, if you are not willing to work hard and learn, please don’t apply)

- experience in all phases of high-quality custom framing, with custom trim carpentry a bonus

- experience with excavation, concrete work, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, exterior window and door installation, exterior siding, drywall and texture, painting, hardware installation, plumbing and electrical fixture installation, hardware installation, etc., a plus

- ability to lift heavy objects and expert knowledge of operating carpentry tools

- strong knowledge of construction safety

- Must own full set of basic tools. We will provide additional tools and equipment as needed per job.

- three references required

- background check will be conducted prior to hire

- valid driver’s license required

We are looking for a hard-working skilled laborer to join our growing business. This individual is responsible for keeping job sites organized and clean (about 30 percent of the job). Cleanliness is imperative – it is the first thing customers experience. Additionally, this role will work on all aspects of remodeling including everything from digging fence post holes, minor MEP work (Mechanical, Electrical & Plumbing), framing carpentry, trim carpentry, drywall, painting and much more. This is a great opportunity to get exposure in all facets of residential building and work with a fun crew!

- minimum of 2 years’ experience with carpentry/residential remodeling

- must have experience with framing and trim work
- experience driving a large pickup truck and trailer is a plus
- basic knowledge and understanding of how to work standard power tools and skill saws

Tasks will include:
- work closely with the crew to help in general carpentry, including demolition, framing, and trim carpentry work – about 60 percent of the job
- hauling trash with dump trailer to the landfill
- going to various jobs throughout Boulder to maintain clean job sites and ensure proper cleaning equipment is available such as trash cans, brooms and dustpans
- making quick and efficient material runs to our local suppliers such as Boulder Lumber, Home Depot and McGuckin’s
- endless opportunity to learn the inner workings of building a house
