Whether you're planning a full renovation or building an addition, don't overlook safety and clearance at your stairways! 📐🪜

•The Building Code Rule: The landing area at the top and bottom of your stairs must be at least as wide as the staircase itself (typically a minimum of 36 inches)

•Why It Matters: Proper landing space prevents awkward bottlenecks, gives you room to open nearby doors safely, and makes moving furniture much easier
