I just took a look at the friends list on my page and realized that I only know about 10% of you personally. How did that happen?

On my way to work to finish up I saw this turtle crossing a roundabout. I saw people trying to dodge it, and I thought well, it's a big turtle so I'm sure she knows what she's doing. I kept driving, and then I saw a semi getting ready to go in that area. I thought to myself she doesn't have a chance. As I passed the oncoming semi, I went 180° and the opposite direction that I was headed. In other words, I went back to check on that turtle! Luckily, she had already crossed the entire roundabout, and it was one of the big ones! I got out one of my demo trash cans, and a shovel and carefully put her in the trash can so I could lead her safely back to the water. A lady in a Mercedes stopped to see what I was doing, because evidently she saw the turtle as well. I told her what I was doing, and she just watched as I did my good deed for nature! I set her back in the water, and she swam away. On another note, I got to thinking, what if she was pregnant? What if she was trying to go to a different place to deliver her babies? I had mixed emotions driving away, but at least she wasn't roadkill that day.
