Located in one of the most desirable neighborhoods in the country, it’s safe to say this project was one of the most complex renovations we’ve ever completed. It would have been much easier and efficient to tear this home down and start over but due to local regulations and restrictions, we opted instead to build out the existing space to the maximum available footprint we had to work with into a new modern residence.

It started with a complete retrofit of the existing foundation. Being in one of the most seismically active places in the country, there was extensive engineering involved in this project. We came close to $100K in Simpson Strong Tie products alone. This home has a safe room with the structure engineered to withstand the weight of 8 helicopters. The structure of this home had even the building inspectors baffled.

We put on an authentic cedar shake roof. Despite being cedar shake we were able to achieve a Class A fire rating with the underlayment we installed.

Some of the additional features of this home included a sleek exterior acrylic plaster finish, a cutting-edge Tesla solar system with a power wall backup, new superior Kolbe windows with security glass, 3 recessed TVs, closed cell foam for maximum efficiency, highly custom interior and exterior lighting integrated with whole house smart home technology, electric attic ladder, and much more.

In this remodel we transformed an ordinary ski condo into an extraordinary mountain retreat.

The kitchen boasts knotty alder custom cabinetry paired with sleek quartz countertops. It's fully equipped with top-of-the-line Sub-Zero Wolf appliances, including a convenient wine cooler. Complementing these features, hand-scraped hickory flooring extends throughout the entire living space, adding warmth and rustic elegance in this mountain setting.

We transformed an outdated home with significant potential into a modern, revitalized home. The exterior underwent a complete overhaul, including reframing for an updated aesthetic. All new Marvin Integrity® windows and doors were installed, and the house was re-sided with a combination of redwood and Hardie® siding, featuring a matching bevel profile. New masonry work and exterior lighting were also added.

This work was complimented with a complete new interior including a newly designed and built master bath. It showcases bold zebra-striped quartz countertops and coordinating shower walls. The space is enhanced with a heated floor for comfort and accented with sleek polished chrome finishes.

Step back in time and take a look at one of our proudest showcases - the complete renovation of a registered historically significant Victorian home, originally built just one year after the end of the Civil War. This project had to be meticulously planned and executed with extensive engineered structural work done to reinforce the building’s integrity while preserving the home’s heritage.

The kitchen was fully updated with custom cherry wood cabinetry, granite countertops, a classic farm-style sink, and top-of-the-line Sub-Zero and Wolf appliances. In the master bathroom, we installed heated marble floors, marble wainscoting, cherry wood cabinetry, granite countertops, and an antique clawfoot tub, creating a space that feels timeless and refined.

Other key features of the project included more custom marble work throughout including a marble fireplace surround, a converted loft with its own mini kitchen, a custom designed and built wine cabinet built into the space under the stairway, and the transformation of the original carriage house into a fully functioning standalone studio.

This renovation also involved a 12’ wide 4 panel walnut patio door which seamlessly extended the living space to the outdoor entertaining area and gardens.

This project is one of many that showcases our expertise in transforming historic properties while honoring their original character.

We recently completed the transformation of a historic Victorian carriage house into a fully functional one-room studio. This was truly a larger undertaking than it might seem-what was once a space meant for storing a horse-drawn carriage now includes all the modern utilities needed for everyday living. The studio features knotty alder kitchen cabinets with a farm style sink, hand-scraped hickory floors throughout, and a thoughtfully designed bathroom. The bath makes excellent use of space with green-tinted glass subway tiles and a traditional pedestal sink, creating a bright and well-finished environment. We're proud to have brought new life to this unique structure while preserving its historic character.

Nestled beneath a stairwell, we built this custom wine cabinet combining solid walnut and wrought iron with VintageView® metal wine racks. A dedicated cooling unit ensures optimal temperature and humidity, precisely maintained at 55 degrees Fahrenheit. This elegant feature was a key element of a complete renovation in a historically significant Victorian home.
