🏚️ Cedar shake coming off a house in Bozeman this week.

These roofs look great for about 20 years and then they don’t. Curled, split, and holding moisture. This one was past due.

Question for you. What do you think is going on this house?

Put a new metal roof on it. Tuf-Rib panels in Copper Penny, 29 gauge, out of Great Northern Metal Company in Bozeman.

Small job, but it needed doing before the weather turns.

🐴 Wrapped up the metal retrofit on the riding arena at Skyridge.

24 gauge standing seam in Ultra Low Gloss Dark Bronze. Panels came from Great Northern Metal Company right here in Bozeman.

A few things worth knowing about a roof like this.

🛡️ 24 gauge is the thicker steel. Holds up better to hail and foot traffic and it stays flatter across long panel runs.

🔒 Standing seam means the fasteners are hidden under the seams. No exposed screws to back out or leak down the road.

☀️ The low gloss finish knocks the glare down so the roof settles into the landscape instead of shining back at you.

♻️ Went over the existing roof so there was no tear off. No dumpsters, no mess in the arena, and the building stayed dry the whole time.

💧 Finished it with 6 inch K style gutters and 3x4 downspouts. Bigger than standard because a roof this size moves a lot of water when the snow lets go.

Turned out clean.
