Every finished kitchen begins as an idea, then takes shape in a detailed rendering.

This is where the important decisions happen long before installation. We test proportions, refine layouts, compare finishes, and make adjustments while they're still easy to change. An island that's an inch too large, upper cabinets that compete with a window, hardware that doesn't suit the space, or a stain that shifts once it's paired with the flooring—these are the details we resolve early. It's far less expensive, and far less stressful, to refine them on screen than during installation.

By 8:00 AM a kitchen has already been through a lot.

A home with a butler's pantry doesn't break a sweat because the the action is happening out of sight.

"Pantry" doesn't quite convey the job these rooms can handle with features like panel-ready refrigerators, coffee stations, an appliance garage, everything needed to accommodate the morning rush (or dinner prep) so the evidence of it doesn't clutter up the counters. The kitchen out front stays composed enough for company - or the illusion of calm as a background for mom's coffee break. ☕

The rooms that do the heavy lifting benefit from the most careful cabinet design.

Kitchens are now embracing multiple finishes.

This kitchen near Bozeman pairs deep green cabinetry with an alder stain. The green carries the perimeter and the glass-front uppers. The wood warms everything around it.

A mix like this works because of the design intention behind it. Shared hardware finishes across both runs, and lighting inside the cabinets so the glassware glows when the sun goes down.

White is no longer America's most requested cabinet finish. Nine years at the top of a leading industry dealer survey, now white has been overtaken by light stains.

This Bozeman kitchen showcases why light stains now reign on the request list. Pale white oak fronts under brass, open shelving climbing the tile, a room built to stay bright through a Montana winter.

But, not all rooms need to feel airy. The wine room goes the other way entirely. Near-black racking floor to ceiling, dark herringbone underfoot, one small window so the mountains can do the decorating.

Stain is chosen room by room, by what it needs - both functionally and aesthetically. Sometimes what is popular is also what fits, and other times the right choice isn't at the top of the "most requested" list.

Our job is exceptional results and experience - being the consistent guide who handles the details, both seen and invisible. It means a lot when that gets noticed.

Three bathrooms from the same house, each with its own distinct look, and still cohesive together.

The primary drops color out entirely. Dark-stained cabinetry, stone on every surface, and the trees outside the window get to be the focal point.

Guest bath: white oak, concrete vessel sinks, black pulls. Brass stays at the faucets and pendants, the two metals split the job instead of competing.

The third is the quietest of the group. Light oak, brass hardware, a full-height cabinet handling the storage so the counter stays clear.

Behind the door... a refrigerator.
Open the drawer... a refrigerator drawer.

The work goes into what you don't notice. It only looks like cabinetry because the panel, the pull, the reveal lines all match the run.

Seamless display starts with cutout dimensions and panel weight the hinges have to carry.

Then ventilation clearance, room for the compressor to breathe so it doesn't work overtime.

When done well, the photo gives away nothing. Just a door that isn't a door, until you open it.

Reeded fronts catch the light in a way flat panels just can't.

The series of raised, rounded ridges create a profile in the wood. Run your hand across it and feel every line.

It reads as a texture, not a trend. A detail that looked right decades ago and will look right decades from now.

Reeding does the most when it's paired with restraint. Natural wood tones, simple hardware, clean cabinet profiles around it. A little goes a long way, a single drawer bank or an island face is often enough.

Quietly elegant. The kind of detail that catches attention but doesn't demand it.

A powder room vanity lit from within the stone.

Because onyx is uniquely translucent, the surface emits a warm glow when lit, transforming the vanity into a sculptural focal point that feels more like a piece of illuminated art than a traditional stone countertop.

The rest of the home runs warmer — knotty alder throughout the kitchen, heavy timber, a backsplash with some color to it. The onyx is the moment that catches people off guard.
