Few businesses have called Bozeman home as long as Martel — and the Round House is right there with us.

When their owners reached out about updating their entryway, we jumped at the chance to help.

We transformed their 1970s entrance into a beautiful, modern covered entry that now floods the entire store with natural light. Even better? We worked hand-in-hand with Round House to keep the store fully open and safe for customers throughout the entire project.

The Central Valley Fire District (CVFD) fire stations serves the Gallatin Valley area near Belgrade consisting of approximately 200 square miles and 36,000 people.

Completed in 2019, Station One is CVFD’s 22,300 sq ft HQ with administrative offices, a large training room, living quarters for up to 16 firefighters (eight 3-person bedrooms + independent bathrooms to reduce cross-contamination), four double-deep apparatus bays, and support spaces.

A separate 2,300 sq ft decontamination building (first-of-its-kind in the U.S.) for "hot zone" cleaning of gear and personnel to reduce exposure to carcinogens and toxins. Clean items move to "warm" and "cold" zones. This design has drawn national attention for firefighter health and wellness.

Seismically robust design using local materials; it won the Montana ACEC Engineering Excellence Award for Structural Design and the 2020 Firehouse Innovation Design Award.

Martel Elevate program members spent five days last week giving back at Heart of the Valley, helping upgrade their lighting, exam tables, and sinks!

From demoing out the old fixtures, lighting, and plumbing to installing two new exam lights with above-grid support systems, a brand-new stainless two station steel exam unit, and fresh grid + tile work — the transformation was impressive. Bozeman Electric handled the electrical connections and repositioned one light, while Williams Plumbing and Heating expertly installed the new sinks.

This is what community impact looks like at Martel. We’re proud to support local organizations and strengthen the communities where we live and work — not just today, but for the long term.

We are excited to kick of a major Terminal Ticket Counter Upgrade Project at Billings Logan International Airport (BIL). This project will enhance the passenger experience, expand ticketing capacity, and support growing air service at BIL. Construction is expected to take about 24 months to complete.

This will be our fourth sizable airport project in Montana in the last few years, supporting the tourism industry that drives our local and statewide economies.

The Western Bank of Bozeman, completed by Martel in 1970, had it all....futuristic lines, rock, dark interior finishes, and pops of color.
