This w**d is easy to find if you know what you’re looking for. Tansy is common around southwest Montana. This perennial noxious w**d belongs to the Sunflower Family and is native to Eurasia. Even though it has historically been used for medicinal purposes, it can spread rampant if not controlled. Tansy is common along irrigation ditches and close to water, but can be found elsewhere.

It’s Identifying Features:
- Height: Ranges from 1 ft to 6ft tall
- Leaves: Leaves similar to ferns that alternate with a tooth like look at the ends of the leaves
- Flowers: Yellow
