On site for a water main tap. Our construction engineering services PM watched the crew install a new tapping sleeve and tapping valve on the existing main, which will tie in the new PVC water line to our project.

Before the tap, the sleeve was pressure tested to make sure it held tight. The gauge stayed steady at 180 psi for the full test duration.

Thanks to the crew for a clean, safe installation. Field verification like this is how we make sure utility work is right the first time.

Florida mornings have a way of reminding us what’s possible. 🚀 This morning, a SpaceX Falcon 9 and Dragon spacecraft lifted off from Cape Canaveral on NASA’s CRS-35 resupply mission to the International Space Station. Dragon is carrying more than 6,300 pounds of cargo and research, along with the station’s final pair of Roll-Out Solar Arrays. We’re proud to call Florida home and to work in a region where engineering and innovation are part of the landscape. Congratulations to the NASA and SpaceX teams on a successful launch!

Engineering spaces that support independence, comfort, and connection. 🐾

Since 1982, Dogs Inc served our community from its 66-acre campus in Palmetto, with an impact that reaches far beyond Manatee County. The organization provides guide dogs for people who are legally blind, service dogs for veterans with disabilities and PTSD, companion dogs for Gold Star families, and therapy dogs that comfort hospital patients and first responders. Dogs, training, food, and preventive veterinary care are provided at no cost to those served.

ZNS Engineering is proud of our longstanding relationship with Dogs Inc and our role in the design and construction of its campus buildings and grounds. These spaces include the Puppy Academy, Canine University, Veterinary Center, Student Center, Canine Gym, Employee Wellness Center, canine swimming pool, gift shops, and trails for training and practice.

Most recently, we completed work on the new Outreach and Training Facility, a space dedicated to introducing the community to the organization’s services and preparing new volunteers to support its mission.

Each of these spaces supports the work of extraordinary dogs, dedicated staff, and volunteers who help change lives every day.

How do we get through a busy workday? Sometimes, we grab a football and head outside.

A few minutes of fresh air and movement gives us a chance to laugh, reset, and connect with each other. We come back to our desks with fresh energy and a clearer focus for whatever’s next. It’s a small break that makes the rest of the day better.

Last week, the Manatee Chamber of Commerce stopped by to help us celebrate an incredible milestone: more than 50 years of membership with the Manatee Chamber of Commerce!

Jacki, Kim, and Carey presented ZNS Engineering with a Golden Anniversary Certificate recognizing this longstanding partnership.

This milestone represents more than five decades of involvement in the Manatee County business community and a longstanding relationship with the Chamber. We look forward to continuing that partnership for many years to come!

Boots on the ground and eyes on the details. Our Boca Raton team is providing construction engineering services for Town Place, a mixed-use community in Port St. Lucie featuring 264 upscale apartment homes and walkable retail frontage along US Highway 1.

Led by Rudy Mack, our construction department is coordinating FDOT roadway work on US-1, including turn lane improvements and utility tap connections. We're also managing construction of the new lift station and coordinating utilities with the City of Port St. Lucie Utilities Department.

Proud to be partnering with Rich Properties and Belvedere Contracting to help bring another great community to life.
