Good Morning friends!
Just want to share a recent experience. We spent some time on thr island with out of town friends who rented a beautiful beach house with a pool. The pool guy showed up on day 1 when I was visiting. I had high hopes as he showed up with a vacuum, brush, and net. He never brushed anything, he scooped maybe 2 leaves on top and didn't touch any on the bottom or rocks that the kids threw in. He then checked the water chemistry and dumped half gallon on chlorine and half gallon of acid on top of each other. He said to keep the kids out for 30 mins!!! So many red flags!!!! 🚩 #1: why didnt he brush the pool tile, the sides, and the bottom? 🚩 #2: the vacuum never went in even with debris on the bottom. 🚩 #3: He dumped so much chemical in there it would not be safe to swim for dayyyyssss. 🚩 #4: He dumped the chlorine and acid together which is a big no no. 🚩 #5: when he dumped acid in, I watched the vapors head right towards my friend's 4month old and he said nothing. He was there a total of 2 mins max. This just goes to show you there are different levels of pool service and when we show up with a higher price there are reasons! #1 we spend 15 to 45 mins on each pool, brushing the tile with special soap, brushing the entire pool, vacuuming the uncovered pools, netting all debris, safely checking chemicals and adjusting minimally to keep you and your babies safe, cleaning filters as needed, checking equipment to make sure it's working correctly. We actually care about our customers (most become close friends) we are CPO certified, licensed, and insured. We are trustworthy and show up when we're supposed to. My friend messaged me yesterday, a week later and the pool service was less than the previous week. Meanwhile as I spoke to this guy last week he was wanting us to sell him our routes. Knowing I am an owner of a pool company he still slacked that much. Goes to show you get what you pay for. Rant over.
