Another beautiful landscape transformation completed by Stem and Stone LLC! 🌴🌿

Fresh plantings, tropical accents, flowing bed lines, and rich brown mulch bring a clean, vibrant look to this outdoor space.

How did we do?

Every once in a while, a project comes along that gives me the opportunity to really get creative and transform an outdoor space.

After last year’s freeze took its toll, this client wanted a fresh start—a custom landscape designed to be beautiful, low-maintenance, cold-tolerant, and HOA-compliant.

The result? A functional, thoughtfully designed outdoor space built to look great for years to come.

What do you think? How did we do? 🌿

When building any type of retaining wall, drainage is key.

Clean stone, proper drain pipe, and—in the case of railroad ties—geotextile fabric all help give water a path to move through and away from the wall.

Without proper drainage, water builds up behind the wall and creates hydrostatic pressure, which can eventually push, lean, or move even a well-built wall.

A retaining wall isn’t just about what you see when it’s finished. What’s behind the wall is just as important.

Here’s a look behind the scenes of a railroad tie retaining wall we built.

Florida Downpours are No Joke! ⛈️

A single heavy storm can dump over 2,500 gallons of runoff off your roof. 🌊 Stop your yard from turning into a swamp with the NDS Flo-Well! 🛠️🌱

This buried tank (the black unit in the pic) collects that massive rush of rainwater and lets it soak naturally back into the ground. It’s the ultimate hidden defense against standing water and erosion. 💧🛡️

We can also install French drains and downspout extensions to move that water away from your property and help protect your foundation.

From design to full ex*****on — another clean install in the books! 🌿

We transformed this space with vibrant, Florida-Friendly plants like Firebush and Lantana to thrive in the heat while attracting local pollinators. To make sure everything stays healthy long-term, we completely overhauled the irrigation layout for efficient head-to-head coverage.
