Yesterday I had my first planning meeting for the new album with my producer, Brad. Holy smokes, this is happening! Can't wait for you to hear this album come to life.

I'm planning to document most, if not all, of the whole process. In case you missed it, here's more info...

In March (March 12–17), I’ll be heading to Bristol, Tennessee, to record my first full-length album, Whiskey Redemption.
This record has been a long time coming.

Throughout much of 2025, I wrote the songs that make up this project—eight original songs and two carefully chosen covers. These weren’t written quickly or casually. They came slowly, shaped by memory, reflection, and a desire to tell the truth well.
Perhaps you've already heard the album's first single, Before Whiskey, which I released in September 2025.

At the heart of Whiskey Redemption is a deeply personal story rooted in my relationship with my dad. It’s a story of brokenness and love, loss and learning, and the quiet hope that redemption is still possible. This album isn’t about blame or bitterness—it’s about honesty, grace, and naming what was real.

We’ll be recording at Classic Recording Studio in Bristol, TN—located on the same street where the Carter Family and Jimmie Rodgers recorded their very first records.

Classic Recording Studio is home to producer Mike Stephenson, whose work includes artists such as Bebe Rexha, Lewis Capaldi, Lee DeWyze, Dean & Robert DeLeo (Stone Temple Pilots), Cheap Trick, Dave Eggar, and more. The studio has also contributed music and scores for Disney, Netflix, Hulu, and other major productions.

The album is being produced by Brad Hacker of Little Alien Music Production, whose approach values authenticity, story, and capturing performances that feel lived-in and honest. He's produced my last three releases.

I’m raising $4,000 to help cover the core costs of recording week, including:
Lodging during the studio sessions
Food while we’re there
Hiring someone to capture behind-the-scenes video and social media content

Documenting this recording week isn’t about hype—it’s about stewardship. These moments won’t happen again, and I want to capture this chapter faithfully so I can share the story behind the songs as they come to life.

Reaching this goal will allow me to stay focused on the music itself and record this album with the care and attention it deserves.
