Homeowners had water coming up through the floor and suspected a leak in the wall. After some investigation it was clear that we were going to have to open the wall to find the source of the water.

Long story short, we found the leak. We also found lots of water damage. After fixing all of that, it was decided that drywall was not the best option for this location, so we replaced the wall with some beautiful shiplap.

Good choice guys! I think it adds a nice touch to the room.

We have posted similar content before, but this is another reminder of the importance of flushing your water heater regularly. Build up of sediment can damage your plumbing, fixtures and appliances .

These property owners had a filtration system installed but did not have a water softener. Over the last few months they noticed increased sediment on their fixtures and places like the coffee pot. They determined that the filtration system had reached the end of its useful life and decided to change it out for a softener. We were happy to help them with that.

Even with a filter, we removed several inches of sediment from the water heater. Just think, you are bathing in this type of water and drinking it.

Unused spaces are such a waste of square footage. Adding new storage is a much better option. This cedar lined closet will be great for storing hunting gear, winter clothes and more.

A lot of my work doesn’t create interesting before and after pictures, so I really enjoy it when I do larger projects that do.

These homeowners had a deck and ramp built a while back, but the ramp was too steep for them to be able to push a wheelchair up it.

We removed the old ramp, widened the stairs, and built a new ramp to meet ADA specifications.

This week’s before and after pictures are of a stairwell remodel, part of a much larger project.

Extended the stub wall to the ceiling, replaced the carpet with porcelain tile and replaced the spindle railing with stub walls. A little trim and paint and voilà.
