Those little dirt plugs are the result of core aeration! By removing small cores of soil, we're helping relieve compaction and create better access for air, water, and nutrients to reach your lawn's roots.

You can plant grass seed in the spring—but if I have a choice, I'll take fall almost every time.

In the fall, the soil is still warm enough for good germination while cooler air reduces stress on young grass. More importantly, that new plant has the fall, winter and spring to establish itself before facing its first summer. Spring-seeded grass has a much shorter runway before the heat arrives.

It's not just about getting seed to germinate. It's about getting that new grass ready for summer stress.

Color is only one indicator of lawn health. A lawn can look green on the surface while still having underlying problems with its roots, soil, w**ds, pests, or nutrient balance.

Before you call it quits on your lawn for the season… READ THIS. 👀

1. Apply a fall fertilizer
Give your grass the nutrients it needs to build strong roots before winter hits.

2. Knock out broadleaf w**ds
Dandelions, clover, and other w**ds are still active in fall. Treat them now before they overwinter and come back in spring.

3. Keep mowing until the grass stops growing
Don’t stop mowing just because the leaves are falling. Keep your lawn around 2½–3 inches heading into winter to help prevent matting and disease.
